What this is

Betexress is an independent editorial index of hotels. It covers four categories — art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels — with four properties in each, chosen because the category tells you something real about how the building works rather than how much it costs.

The index is deliberately geo-neutral. It is not a national guide and it is not written from inside any one market; the hotels happen to be where the categories are strongest. Where a place matters to a description — a river, a gorge, a latitude — it is named because it explains the hotel, not to signal a home country.

Each entry is prose, written in-house, using general and durable facts: what the building was before, how it is constructed, what it sits next to, which of its facilities define a stay. We do not publish ratings, reviews, guest scores or prices, and we do not reproduce marketing copy. Nothing here is sponsored and no hotel has paid for or been consulted about its inclusion.
